Positive vibes from Facebook followers

“Thank you so much for the online performances you are posting. We have enjoyed them so much. Thank you to the staff and the performers for the effort it takes to put these on during Covid-19…”

“We have enjoyed the Wednesday night concerts and storytelling event. …Glad to continue to support access to these types of performances.”

We recently heard from several patrons about our livestream events. Coupled with the comments we have received during the live shows, our virtual events have been well received by The Clayton Center audience.

When we first began the weekly Wednesday virtual series – streamed from our Facebook Live page – we showcased local talent. And we can assure you that there is a lot of it in this area. We have enjoyed discovering new artists who are right in our own backyard. We hope that you have enjoyed them, too.

As North Carolina moved into Phase 2 of the pandemic response, we expanded our reach and began presenting a mix of local and regional artists. This wider circle is made possible, in part, by a partnership between The Clayton Center, the North Carolina Arts Council and the Clayton Cultural Arts Foundation.

We have presented 19 weekly Wednesday night concerts, plus two special events since we closed our doors to the public in March. (You can view recordings of these performances here.) We are working to bring you diversity in these events, and we hope that in the spirit of a “new normal,” you will tune in to enjoy a show you might not typically choose.

Until we can gather in person again, we look forward to seeing you Live on Facebook every Wednesday at 7:00 PM.
