The Miss Clayton/Capital City/Cleveland 2019 Scholarship Pageant is an official, local, triple preliminary associated with the Miss North Carolina Scholarship Pageant and Miss America Organization. As such, it is a part of the largest scholarship organization for women in the world. Promoting an emphasis on academics and communication skills, the Miss Clayton/Capital City/Cleveland Scholarship Pageant is considered a launching pad for young women to further their academic and career goals.
Miss America 2019, Nia Franklin, returns to the Capital City stage for the 2019 Miss Capital City, Miss Clayton, and Miss Cleveland Scholarship Pageant. Nia was crowned Miss Capital City 2016 on the Clayton Center stage on March 5, 2016. She was a Top 10 finalist at Miss North Carolina 2016 as Miss Capital City, and also received the Beth Stovall Music Scholarship award.
Four contestants will vie for the title of Miss Clayton High School 2019 during the 56th annual Miss CHS Scholarship Pageant on Saturday, March 23, at 7 PM at The Clayton Center.
Riley Barnes, Amelia Black, Mary-Grayce Narron and Hailey Stephens will participate in the pageant. The theme this year is “Boogie Nights.”
Tickets for the event are $10 and are available through The Clayton Center Box Office, located at 111 E. 2nd Street in advance or at the door beginning at 6 PM.
