Clayton Youth Theater is looking for a few good student actors! CYT will host auditions next week for the winter production of The Diviners by Jim Leonard, Jr.
Students must be in 7th-12th grade during the 2018-2019 school year to be eligible to participate. Auditions will be held Friday, November 16, at 6:30 PM, and Saturday, November 17, at 10 AM, at The Clayton Center.
Visit CYT online for more detailed audition information.
Dress in your Sunday best, and bring your daughter or daughters out to the annual Father & Daughter Dance sponsored by Granite Lodge 191 on Saturday, February 16, from 6:30-10 PM. The dance is open to all. Tickets are $40 per dad and daughter or daughters, and light refreshment will be served.
1000 Words Photography will be on site, and will provide a 5×7 photo to all who would like one at no charge. Also, there will be two photo booths this year to help keep the lines moving.
This annual event raised more than $3,000 for high school scholarships and Granite 191’s Charities last year.

Launching for the first time in 2019, Stage Right is a three-week camp giving 6th-8th grade students the opportunity to explore the components of musical theatre and develop the skills necessary to be successful on stage. Each week will focus on a different skill set – acting, singing, and dancing. Offering small class sizes and personal instruction, participants will be taught by the production staff of Carolina Youth Theatre’s summer musical in a nurturing environment that will build confidence and help students understand their strengths and weaknesses on stage. Students will benefit most by participating in all three sessions. Material for each week will be drawn from The Wizard of Oz.
Stage Right will open for registration on April 22 as a three-week package. Should space remain, individual weeks will open for registration on May 1, 2019. Visit carolinayouththeatre.com for more information.
