Carolina Youth Theatre sings for the community

Carolina Youth Theatre presents CYT Sings!, a virtual benefit concert that will be livestreamed from The Clayton Center auditorium on July 30, at 7:00 PM.

A collaboration between current and former students, the concert features soloists and virtual choir compilations of uplifting Broadway tunes that affirm the importance of community. The concert replaces CYT’s annual summer musical production postponed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition to giving CYT students and alumni an opportunity to showcase their talents and entertain audiences, CYT Sings! allows CYT to give back to local businesses supported the organization since it was founded in 2007. Donations can be made by texting CYTSINGS to 44-321.

In line with its mission to educate and serve its community, half of the net concert proceeds will be donated to the Clayton Chamber Foundation’s Small Business Grant Fund, which was created in response to the devastating economic effects of the pandemic.

The concert is free, and because of Covid-19 restrictions, there will be no live audience. You can access the concert from The Clayton Center’s Facebook Live page.
