The Clayton Center Goes “Old School” This Week

It feels just like old tiBus at Clayton Centermes at The Clayton Center this afternoon! Students in the East Clayton Elementary School Drama Club are rehearsing this week for two performances of Cinderella, and the auditorium is buzzing with the energy of elementary school kids.

It’s always fun when the students are here, since the historic building that is now The Clayton Center used to be the former Clayton Elementary School. In fact, the doors of the old school building closed for good when the new East Clayton Elementary School, located on NC Hwy 42 East, opened in 1997.

The ECES drama students visit The Clayton Center annually for their spring performance. They will present Cinderella at 7 PM this Thursday and Friday, March 9 and 10. Tickets are available here or through the box office. All seats are reserved. Ticket prices are $6 and $3 for East Clayton Elementary School students. Note: Ticket price does not include sales tax and fees.
