The Clayton Center and all Town of Clayton offices will be closed on Monday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. However, the Town’s Parks and Recreation, Police, Fire and other staff members – plus lots of local volunteers – will be out at Municipal Park as the Town presents its traditional Fourth of July festivities.
Activities start at 4 p.m. and include free family field games, free ice cream and watermelon, a free hose-down by the Clayton Fire Department and a free concert by The North Tower Band.
There also will be food vendors, a cornhole tournament, inflatables and fair rides, bingo and raffles throughout the night. The park is located on West Stallings Street in Downtown Clayton. The fireworks go off at dark.
