Palladian Series Update
The best shows in town are at The Clayton Center. We just can’t present them to a live audience in the auditorium at this time.
Covid-19 continues to keep The Clayton Center closed to the public and has forced us to cancel our traditional Palladian Series for the upcoming year. However, as soon as we are able to safely reopen to the public, we do plan to present a schedule of individual events. We’re not sure yet what that schedule will include, but we are working on it.
In the meantime, The Clayton Center continues to reach out to our audience through weekly livestream concerts and special events via YouTube. These concerts and events are presented live from our stage in our (empty) auditorium. The events are free to view — live or later, as a recording — on The Clayton Center’s YouTube channel or from or Facebook page. You can access the events and recordings here.
The Clayton Center has presented 20 events via Facebook Live since March 25. The performers include both local and regional artists, including a host of Clayton area musicians who were unable to perform for months due to the coronavirus stay-at-home order. A number of the events were co-sponsored by The Clayton Center, the NC Arts Council and the Clayton Cultural Arts Foundation.
