Colin Hay at The Clayton Center

Colin Hay

Friday, September 7, 2012   8 PM   $25

Colin Hay may be best known as the lead singer for platinum-selling ’80s pop band Men At Work, but he’s had just as much success as a solo singer-songwriter in the decades since.

Colin first appeared at The Clayton Center in 2010, in a performance that left the audience in awe of his musical diversity and quick wit. He returns to Clayton following his critically acclaimed release Gathering Mercury, a compilation he says may be his best to date.

Colin’s solo performances entertain and enthrall his fans. He skillfully intersperses his classic Men At Work hits—“Down Under,” “Overkill” and “Who Can It Be Now?”— with more recent songs from television and film soundtracks—“Waiting for My Real Life to Begin,” “My Brilliant Feat” and “Beautiful World.” He is an engaging storyteller, both in song and story, and captivates his audience with his optimism and timeless appeal.

Please note that Colin Hay is a special presentation of The Clayton Center and is not included as part of the Palladian Series. Tickets to this performance are available only on an individual basis. This show may contain adult humor and/or language.
