Five-time Grammy Award-winning music icon Marty Stuart has a showman’s zest for every conceivable flavor of country music—and you can bet he’ll serve them all up when he and his band, The Fabulous Superlatives, come to Clayton.
Marty got his start singing gospel as a child, and then landed a stint with Lester Flatt in the 1970s. He spent six years with Johnny Cash in the ’80s, and performed his own smash “hillbilly rock” hits in the ’90s. With his latest CD, Ghost Train (The Studio B Sessions), The Grand Ole Opry star comes full circle, returning to his traditional country roots in the hopes of imparting the importance of the music and its themes to long-time fans and newcomers alike.
Hailed as one of the most accomplished and eclectic musicians in country music, Marty is a consummate entertainer whose energetic enthusiasm never fails to amaze his audience.
