CYT Presents Pulitzer Prize Winning Comedy

Maybe “you can’t take it with you,” but this week you can see it live on stage at The Clayton Center!

Clayton Youth Theater performs the Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman Pulitzer Prize winning comedy You Can’t Take It With You this Thursday, Friday and Saturday – February 25, 26 and 27 – at 7:30 PM each evening.

A story of family and non-conformity, this show has been delighting audiences since 1936.

Each member of the lovable, yet eccentric, Sycamore family marches to his own drummer –whether writing plays, making firecrackers, collecting snakes, playing the xylophone or dancing ballet. The one member of the household that is in touch with the outside world is Alice, the youngest daughter.  When Alice gets engaged to Tony Kirby, she invites her new fiancé and his conservative parents over for dinner. Anything can happen when the straight-laced Kirbys meet the zany Sycamores…and it probably will!

Tickets for You Can’t Take It With You are $12 for adults and $6 for students 18 and under, plus sales tax and fees. Purchase tickets here, or call the box office at 919-553-1737 for more information.
