November means comedy, music & family fun

It’s an entertainment feast at The Clayton Center in November, as we present comedy, a kids’ show and the incomparable blues guitarist Robert Cray.

Don Friesen and Brad Upton perform at The Clayton Center NC

The laughs are on us as comedians Brad Upton and Don Friesen take the stage on Saturday, Nov. 6, 8pm. These two comedy veterans come to us by way of Dry Bar Comedy, which specializes in comedy for everyone.

We’ve heard it said of Brad Upton that “if the Pacific Northwest had a Mt. Rushmore of Comedy, Brad Upton’s head would be on it.” And of Don Friesen, “His kids think he’s fun. His wife thinks he’s an idiot. Audiences this he’s hilarious!” We think you’ll love them both.  But we’ll let you decide that for yourself.

On Saturday, Nov. 13, 4pm, you can share the excitement of Schoolhouse Rock! Live with your family. Childsplay Theatre breathes new life into the Saturday morning classic and presents an energetic  live action performance featuring all of the classic educational songs of the Schoolhouse Rock shorts of the 70s and 80s.

Our November schedule wraps up on Friday, Nov. 19, 8pm, with The Robert Cray Band. Cray has been bridging the lines between blues, soul  and R&B for the past four decades and is considered one of the greatest blues guitarists of our time.
